Cate Caruth was born in Chelmsford, England and still lives in the UK.
She has been writing most of her life with school reports as early as seven years of age indicating her interest in creative writing.
As a child her family moved to Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, where she was educated, after which she went to University in Brighton obtaining a degree in Mathematics.
When she entered the world of work, Cate’s writing interests were put on hold until, in 1995 she became a management consultant, and found time when working away from home to return to her hobby.
All her books have been written in a variety of locations which include aeroplanes, trains and hotel rooms and across four continents. She is still a management consultant, now most usually working for the UK Government.
In 2006 Cate was diagnosed with Breast Cancer which prompted her to take her writing to a new level and publish some of her work. She has published three books and is in the process of writing the fourth.
Cate also writes a regular blog and has an active Twitter feed
